Jake Keller is the Owner-Operator of Hometown Efficiency. Jake draws from his wide-ranging experience in the industry, with over a decade of experience completing home and business energy audits for homes, builders and other businesses across New Hampshire as part of the NH Saves program.
Jake’s ability to provide an in-depth energy efficiency audit is second to none, and best of all, he breaks down the building's complexities in a way that can be understood by home-buyers and homeowners of any experience level, and from every walk of life.
That means that you don’t need to have a background in construction—Jake will communicate his findings properly to ensure that you walk away fully confident in your knowledge of the home’s energy efficiency and what can be done to improve it.
When he’s not auditing the energy efficiency of buildings, Jake loves to spend quality time with his fiancé Alexis, daughter Evelyn, and their golden retriever Griffin. Jake is a drummer who loves to play rock, funk, and jazz whenever he gets a chance.
Before diving into a home inspection career (which further strengthened his fundamentals in practical building science and communication), Jake got his start in the energy efficiency industry. Part of Jake’s responsibilities was to perform energy assessments in local low-income communities, determining where a home was losing energy and how it could be improved to help save residents money on their utility bills and increase the home’s comfort level. For the next 5 years, Jake went on to work for another local Home Performance Contractor, providing more positive impact to the residents of our local communities.
The inspection skills that Jake picked up along the way translate directly to his current work, and he continues to offer Home Energy Audits to help his clients make the most of their real estate investments and carve a path to a more efficient and sustainable future.
